Importance Of Memorization According To Hadiths
“It will be said to the companion of the Quran: Recite and rise in status, recite as you used to recite in the world, for your status will be at the last verse that you recite.”
Al-Tirmidhi (2914) and Abu Dawood (1464)
In the above mentioned hadith the meaning of the “companion of the Quran” can be interpreted as the person who as memorized the Quran and knows it by heart. The Prophet Muhammad (SAW) also said that, “the one who knows more Quran should lead the people in prayer” which is also widely interpreted as the one who has memorized the most. The difference between the status of the people in Heaven will be based on how much Quran was memorized in the world according to scholars. In this regard the virtue of the hafiz, a person who completely commits the Quran to his or her memory, is much greater than others if he or she has memorized the Quran only for the sake of Allah (SWT) and not for earthly gains or financial incentives. There are many schools around the world that provide online Quran memorization classes under the guidance of online Quran tutor and teachers where people from all over the world can memorize Quran online. There are many virtues associated with the memorization of the Quran, the Prophet (SAW) said, “The likeness of the one who reads Quran and memorizes it is that he is with the righteous honorable scribes. The likeness of the one who reads it and tries hard to memorize it even though it is difficult for him, he will have two rewards” (Al-Bukhari 4937). Online Quran memorization classes are exactly the same as regular classes only these are however taught under the expert guidance of online Quran tutor and teachers rather than physical ones which allow much more ease to memorize Quran online.
