Dua is the Best Tool to Get Through this Life
The world is a very scary place and in recent times has not only become scary but also dangerous for all people regardless of race and religion. Unfortunately the times that we live in today are especially hard on the Muslims for not only does the world not think good of us today; there are constant wars and disasters happening in Muslims lands across the world. Even though the Muslims are nothing less than the victims of the whims of the powerful in today’s world, we all are still thought of as the perpetrators of any misguided individuals actions which have led to the rest of the world simply thinking bad of us. The mass media especially those of the western world have pushed this rhetoric for more than a decade now and things are looking bleaker and bleaker for the Muslims as of now. But this is not a political post, rather today we will inform you of a dua that Prophet Muhammad (SAW) has provided us through the Mercy of Allah (SWT) that can change our lives and make us hopeful in his Mercy.
Anas (RA) reported that the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said:
“Whoever says when he goes to bed:
'Praise be to Allah who sufficed me and gave me shelter; praise be to Allah who fed me and gave me drink; praise be to Allah who favored me generously. O Allah, I ask You by Your 'Izza (Might or Honor) to save me from the Hellfire.'
Whoever says this should indeed have praised Allah with all forms of praise of the entire creation.”

Dua or supplication is a life changing thing that Allah (SWT) has blessed us with. Here are some of the benefits of this supplication.
If you notice the dua you can see that in it is the supplicating person is not only praising Allah (SWT) but also thanking Him for his blessings. Sincere thanks towards Allah (SWT) are the best way to gain favor and blessings in this life. Allah (SWT) says in the Quran, “And [remember] when your Lord proclaimed, 'If you are grateful, I will surely increase you [in favor]; but if you deny, indeed, My punishment is severe.' “It is easy to understand from this that if you want your blessings to increase, increase in your gratitude to Allah (SWT).
Earning Many Good Deeds
If notice the ending of the hadith you will find that Prophet Muhammad (SAW) has informed us that whoever says this dua has praised Allah (SWT) in all manners of creation. This is no small type of praise and brings with it a great amount of good deeds and rewards of unimaginable proportions.
In Allah we Trust
Supplication is one of the best forms of contact with Allah (SWT) and some might even say that it is the essence of worship itself. Whenever a person stands, sits or bows before Allah (SWT) he or she constantly praises Him and asks for His Mercy and Blessings. In this dua you will find that we declare our trust and reliance on Allah (SWT) alone.
